2012/2013 UNDERGRADUATE PROVISIONAL ADMISSIONS

As a result of the online Post-UTME screening exercises held recently at various centres in Nigeria, the candidates LISTED IN BATCH A below have been offered Provisional Admissions into Babcock University ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS, for the 2012/2013 academic session.
Please note that the offer will be withdrawn if at any time it is discovered that a candidate does not meet the stipulated requirements.

If your name does not appear under the course you applied for, please search for your name in courses related to the one you applied for. ENSURE YOU CAREFULLY READ THE GUIDELINES PERTAINING TO YOUR BATCH.


PAYMENT GUIDELINES (these supersede ALL previous payment instructions):

Beginning from Friday, 10th August, 2012, ALL admitted candidates MUST follow the payment guidelines below:


For BATCH A  Candidates (Screenings of 17th, 18th & 19th April; 10th & 22th May, 2012; 5th June, 2012):


  1. All candidates in Batch A, who have loaded the acceptance fees of N210,000 into E-tranzact platform are to deduct N200,000 from either the 1st semester fees or full session’s fees and pay the balance into any branch of GT Bank Account Number 0017175231 in favour of Babcock University;
  2. Candidates in Batch A, who have not loaded the acceptance fees are to pay 1stsemester fees or full session’s fees IN CERTIFIED BANK DRAFTS into any branch of Guaranty Trust Bank Account Number 0017175231. Please add N10,000 for medical/psycho-social tests.  Candidates who operate accounts with Guarantee Trust Bank can pay with their cheques in favour of Babcock University;
For composite fees schedule, please go to www.babcock.edu.ng; set your mouse on ‘Finance’; CLICK on ‘Sessions Bills’ and select 100 Level fees, as applicable to your course, preferred hall of residence and meal options;
3. Depositor’s names should be: candidate’s full names as contained in this publication. NAMES are to be written IN CAPITALS, with course and matric number in front of names;
4. Take the ORIGINAL copy of payment TELLER to Babcock University Bursary on or before 20th August, 2012 to collect receipt IN ORDER TO BE ENABLED TO CONTINUE WITH REGISTRATION AND BE GIVEN ACCOMMODATION.





For BATCHES B & C Candidates (Screenings of 14th June; 26th June; 5th July; 12th July; 19th July; & 26th July, 2012):

  1. All candidates in these batches are to pay full session fees or 1st semester feesinto any branch of Guarantee Trust Bank Account Number 0017175231 in favour of Babcock University WITH CERTIFIED BANK DRAFTS.  (For composite fees schedule, please go to www.babcock.edu.ng. (Candidates whose names appear on these admission lists, but who scored less than 180 in the 2012 UTME examination are not eligible for final admission).

Beginning from 20th August, 2012,  ALL CANDIDATES ARE TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. FULL ONLINE REGISTRATION for new students: 27th-31st August, 2012 at Babcock University.  For Printable Registratmion Instructions, please visitwww.babcock.edu.ng and click on ‘Undergraduate Admission’.
  2. ORIENTATION for ALL new students: 20th-24th August, 2012 at the University
Sports Stadium. (Orientation is mandatory for ALL NEW STUDENTS)
     3.  CLASSES BEGIN ON Monday 3rd September, 2012 FOR ALL STUDENTS.

From 20th August, 2012 ALL CANDIDATES are to report to their School Officer at the Wilfred Riley Auditorium, Babcock University 9 a.m.-5 p.m. during the registration period above, with the following documents:

(i) Two (2) copies of 2012 UTME result slips;
(ii) Four (4) recent passport-size photographs and three (3) copies of
birth certificates;
(iii) Originals and three (3) photocopies of SSCE results or their equivalents;
(iv) Originals and (3) photocopies of e-tranzact acceptance fees and school fees payment receipts;
(v) Originals and (3) photocopies of evidence of payment for Babcock Post-UTME online application form.

Each awaiting-results candidate shall sign an undertaking to present acceptable SSCE results or their equivalents on or before matriculation, which holds on Tuesday 27thNovember, 2012.

4. Report to the Head of Department for academic clearance and to the Student                 Support Services Unit for medical/psycho-social screening.

PLEASE NOTE:


  1. Candidates who by-pass, or attempt to by-pass any of the above processes run the risk of denied admission status;
  2. Candidates below sixteen (16) years old on 31st December, 2012 will not be considered for admission.

The last online screening for 2012/2013 admissions will hold on 16th August, 2012 at Babcock University, Abuja, Lagos and Owerri screening centres.  Screening begins at 9:00 a.m. at each centre. See details on application, registration and online screenings atwww.babcock.edu.ng.
Please note that Medicine, Law, Nursing and Accounting Education are not included for this screening exercise.
