ENTRY REQUIREMENT: -

Each student is expected to pass all the seven (7) subjects to proceed for any of the College’s National Diploma Programme.

Candidates with the following qualifications may apply for the Pre-ND course: -

1. WASC, SSCE, NECO or GCE with passes in at least four (4) subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language and Mathematics, plus any two subjects relevant to the proposed course/programme of study from the following: Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agric Science.
2. A candidate with full Grade II Teachers Training Certificate with passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/General Science.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA: - Candidates with National Diploma in related discipline from a recognized institution may apply for Higher National Diploma in the Department, in addition to the minimum requirement for National Diploma (four credit-level passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE ordinary level in not more than two sittings. Subjects passed must include Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry and any two of the following: Geography, Mathematics and English Language).
2. NATIONAL DIPLOMA: - Candidates applying for National Diploma should possess four credit-level passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE ordinary level in not more than two sittings. ENTRY REQUIREMENT: -

1. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA: - Candidates with National Diploma in related discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA 2.50 and above) may apply for Higher National Diploma in the Department, in addition to the minimum requirement for National Diploma (four credit-level passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE ordinary level in not more than two sittings. Subjects passed must include any two of Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Physics and Geography. With Mathematics and English Language compulsory). Also a one year cognate working experience is essential.
2. CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME: - Candidates that do not meet the minimum requirements for Pre-National Diploma Programme can apply for the certificate programme of the Department.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA: - Candidates with National Diploma in related discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA 2.50 and above) may apply for Higher National Diploma in the Department, in addition to the minimum requirement for National Diploma (four credit-level passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE ordinary level in not more than two sittings. Subjects passed must include any two of Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Physics and Geography. Mathematics and English Language are compulsory). A one year cognate working experience is also essential.

Enrolment of students is strictly in line with NBTE’s allocation of 1 stream (30 students) initially allocated to the department. Recent effort by the State Government and The College Management to provide basic infrastructure has led to an increase of one more stream which hopefully will increase enrollment over the coming years.
Finally, the young department aspires to be a center of excellence in the field of Agricultural service delivery in the state in particular and the nation in general.
